Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media

Are you interested in getting involved in the booming industry of media and entertainment? Explore the Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media (CAM) program at Lincoln Memorial University! Our program will prepare you for a lucrative career in fields like social media, streaming entertainment, film, television, podcasting and more.

As a student in the CAM program, you will get hands-on learning in areas like on-air reporting, multi-media journalism, and live productions as well as off-camera skills like video editing and post-production. We value keeping our class sizes small (averaging 14 students) to strengthen your learning opportunities and help you build long-lasting relationships with your peers and professors.

During your time as a CAM major, you will also have the unique opportunity to earn real-world experience and build up a portfolio straight from your coursework. At LMU, our CAM faculty work closely with industry professionals to provide you with a variety of career opportunities, with internships available in Knoxville and across the Appalachian region. Work on projects for professional clients and community partners, making short films, producing audio productions and writing web content and news articles and get a head start in your field.

Admission Requirements

If you have completed at least fifteen (15) semester credit hours of potentially transferrable seated, college-level coursework at an accredited/approved college or university, you will be considered for regular transfer admission at LMU.

How to Apply

For admission into the CAM program, you must apply through the LMU portal. To be considered for entry, your application must be completed. We recommend you complete your application prior to the last year of your high school education.
